English League Cup

Post by Mark »

Stoke doing steadily well in the League Cup so far this season. Was there in the first round along with my nephew's first Stoke game to see us beat Fleetwood. On holiday though when we beat Doncaster, and we played Watford last night and won 3:1!

Great to see us bounce back with a win after a couple of dodgy results in the league.

Hoping for a home draw in the next round, so we can take my nephew along with us again.

Good win for you last night Mark - had Watford down for that!

Comfortable win for Pool with a young side

I might pop down and watch Swans v Brighton tonight with the youngest for what would be his first footie game

6 and 4

Took the older one and we went

Half full stadium. First half a bit limp. Swans 2 down but could have been 3-2 up after 60 but butchered chances. Left around 80 as he was goosed and game looked over. Anfield next for him!

Interesting draw for Stoke v Brentford. Decent draw on paper for Pool and not a big travel. Home would have been nice. I like the look of QPR v Sunderland and then decent looking prem games such as Arsenal v Leeds and West Ham v City should be decent

Fourth-round draw in full

Chelsea v Southampton

Arsenal v Leeds

Stoke v Brentford

West Ham v Manchester City

Leicester v Brighton

Burnley v Tottenham

QPR v Sunderland

Preston v Liverpool

--------

Good chance for Stoke to progress at home. QPR or Sunderland guaranteed a QF spot!

Did he enjoy Redders?

It could be a good chance for us but think we've a poor record against Brentford in recent times. Revenge for when we beat them at the Millenium Stadium to get promoted from the Old Second Division, what a day that was :D

Anyway, hopefully Frank will rest his main players to give us a chance!

Quite like the PL matchups, increases chance for others to get through!

Yeah - he wants to go to Anfield next :)

For sure a load of PL fallers in next round!
