He's one of the Turks that I was thinking of. If he's dual nationality then it must be him.

You'll be very surprised to know that THFC (Tottenham Hotspur Football Circus) have the record for a caretaker manager having the longest stint in charge of a Premier League club.

Spurs, being Spurs once had a caretaker manager in charge for 8 months and 2 weeks. I kid you not. So this current shambles is nothing and I don't get what all the fuss is about...

Who was that caretaker manager?

(It's not Christian Stellini)

After a hugely successful 7 days as caretaker, being knocked out of the cup by West Ham - Tim Sherwood showed all the right attributes to be appointed full time manager... on an 18 month deal.... he was sacked after 5 months.

That is indeed the correct answer!

in 2003 after Glen Hoddle was sacked, David Pleat took charge for what turned out to be the rest of the season, guiding Spurs to 14th place, their lowest position since 1998 when they narrowly avoided relegation thanks to Jurgen Klinsmann scoring 75 goals against Wimbledon!
