Any lucky people out there managed to get their hands on any of the limited stock of PS5s?

I won't be choosing to buy one this time around, but my brother who turns 21 on Christmas Day has only one thing on his wishlist for his Christmas and birthday present!

Sadly not been able to find any standard consoles (doesn't want a digital one, as he wants to be able to play PS4 games on it) anywhere! I'm hoping that as Black Friday passes and we move into Christmas, we'll start to see all the retailers stocking up!

I really hope that as Christmas comes around I can manage to get one, will opt for the console that allows PS4 games to be played on it too.

No but I wasn't trying to get one. Going to wait 12-18 months hopefully it drops £100-£150 in price then I'll go for it.

I didn't want one....

But now Battlefield is only really going to be the full version (128 players on crazy huge maps) on the PS5 :(

Gonna need a bloody new tele as well, otherwise whats the point in getting a 4k machine.

Damn you to hell Sony

I came home yesterday and my wife had a gift for me. It was a PS5 (disc version). I've been telling her for many, many, many months not to bother. I was not in a rush. Won't et a chance to set it up until the weekend.

Mind blown!

Nice missus! What's the "disc version" - Can you get PS5 that you just dowload the games instead of disc then i'm guessing?

Yes, you can get a digital version just for downloads. It's about $100 cheaper over here but very few people want them.

My wife is awesome. I'm exceptionally lucky. She loves sports (we're currently watching the Yankee game as I type). She has been asking me about the PS5 for two years but I kept telling her not to bother. She "bothered" anyway.

It took a couple of weeks but the PS5 is now set up. I copied all my PS4 games onto an external hard drive and I play those games "off" that drive, leaving more room on the PS5's internal hard drive.
