Recently finished Assassin's Creed Valhalla (PS4). Bought it in December with Amazon Vouchers I had (don't usually splash out on new games - too pricey these days!) and finished it about a week or so ago. It's a loooong game! Not 3 months long, but I put over 150 hours into it. Probably could do it quicker but I like the utterly meaningless shiny Platinum in my fake trophy cabinet.

Not quite as good as the other 2 newer ones in the franchise - AC Origins and AC Odyssey. So if by any chance anyone was looking to play or get back into the series I would go for either of those over Valhalla, with the added benefit they are cheaper.

Big open world, lots of side quests and collectables. Lot's of sword fighting and (sometimes) challenging enemies - sort of mini boss battles I'd say. Good stuff I like the franchise but they do tend to run on the long side...

I'm so far behind in the Assassin's Creed series, that I don't even know when to return to it. I last played 3, ages ago, and it was so disappointing that I shelved the rest (but still bought every mainline sequel, so I can catch up one day). From what I've seen, I don't think I can agree with the direction the series has taken, since the gameplay has been completely modified.

Glad to hear it's a decent game, but is it a good Assassin's Creed? I'll see when I eventually get to it, probably in like 3 years.

I've only played 1, 2 and Brotherhood! Think Revelations is the next one for me to get to  I don't like the way they went off and made a tonne of smaller games that absolutely ruined the series. Supposedly Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla have set them back on the right track, but it sounds like I'll be the last to find out :D

I've just got far too many classic games still to play - Witcher 2 and 3, Fallout 3, New Vegas and 4, a couple of the Batman games, Watch Dogs 1 and 2, Wolfenstein New Order and Old Blood, Metro Last Light, Half Life Alyx, Far Cry 5, Primal and the other new one, The Evil Within... never even completed GTA 5!

Need. More. Time...

The complete digital edition of Horizon: Zero Dawn is FREE to all PS4 users. Although fair warning it weighs in at a fairly hefty 46.8 GIG, but hey - free is free.

Anybody have PSVR & PS Plus? If so, there's a free VR table tennis game available to PS Plus subscribers called "Racket Fury: Table Tennis VR". No idea if it's any good but free is free. Only 1.4gb too.

I did check this out btw... not for me, I’m not a proper gamer  some lads I work with (who are proper gamers) rated it highly, or at least are looking forward to the sequel.

Woo-hoo pre-ordered Far Cry 6. I know pre-ordering is iffy but it only cost me £36 cash as I used vouchers and bought £40 credit for £35.85 at Shopto.net.

Releases October 7th. Can't wait.

Might get PS Plus this month! Yeah I’m still playing Warzone, my mate said they’re destroying Downtown for the new season, but I guess it won’t be for long as there’ll be a new map shortly after.

I'm always a game behind on Far Crys :D although I do have Far Cry 5 and and New Dawn, I kinda feel like I need a bit of a PC upgrade in order to play them with high graphics settings, so they're just sitting around waiting. Alongside the other 500 games I have on Steam  But that won't happen until graphics card and CPU prices go down...
I just hope with Far Cry 6, they change it up enough so it doesn't feel like another re-hash of Far Cry 3. I enjoyed 4 but it did feel like the same game with different characters, and apparently Far Cry 5 is the same.

I like the franchise but in all honesty I'm not expecting a drastically different game from 4 or 5 - both of which I enjoyed, because it's Ubisoft's M.O to find a formula that works and re-skin the games making minimal changes. Maybe as a consumer I should demand more of them but like I said, I'm a fan of the franchise and looking forward to 6 because it's been delayed a year with everything going on in the world.

Can't speak to PC gaming, looking from the outside in it feels frustrating having to update PC components every year or every other year to keep up to date with the latest advancements. Would drive me mad, but each to their own.

Speaking of PC gaming though and my earlier post about the new PES game, or efootball, I see it has a 93% negative rating on Steam! Seems it's getting hammered by critics & reviewers left, right & centre so I apologize if anyone downloaded it at the behest of my earlier post

Lastly @Fodster, no I don't play Warzone sorry. Not into FPS games in general...only Far Cry.

Yeh some changes to Verdansk in season 6 next week and a new map when Vanguard is released I believe, much needed too, alot of people getting bored now. Plus a supposed anti-cheat, we shall see!

I don’t play anywhere near as much as I used to, but dunno if that’s boredom or because I’m allowed out the house now

Two words: Project Zomboid.

Possibly my favourite video game of all time - it's the Sims (the original) in the zombie apocalypse. No photo realistic graphics or hair physics etc, just a bloody good game.

These are the end times.

There was no hope of survival.

This is how you died.

I've actually had that game on Steam for about 5 years, but never got round to playing it! Perhaps I should give it a chance :D

You should, but I'm biased. If you do, you should update to the build 41 beta - it's much better than the default version.

Battlefield 2042 beta was fun. Especially in a squad with mates. It was only an old build anyway and was probably done as a beta to test the net code.

Far Cry 6. Just started this and am enjoying it. It's same old same old Far Cry but it's fun to play and you get a pet Alligator. Or Croc. I wasn't paying attention.

Ride 4. Very, very realistic looking bike racing game. Fun but bloody hard at first.

Wow they've added a new update! I might have to revisit this game. I didn't give it enough of a go the first time around, and it definitely deserves it. Mad that it never came out of Early Access though!

They've been releasing small updates every few weeks for the last few months, all building up to a re-worked multiplayer and the city of Louisville - and it's massive.
