I was over for the first 2 days so it was lots of silly bets (£10 on 150/1 each way). Hungover then Wednesday and the first rule of gambling is never gamble hungover. Had 20/1 on Thursday but went for a hero punt on Friday of a Pied Piper / A Plus Tard double, €270 to win nearly €5k. Death by a 1000 cuts everywhere else.

No tips this year yet. Have a few I fancy and if the ground stays no worse than good to soft I'll stick with them. Otherwise I'll be looking for this years Third Wind to save the day again.

Two that look over-priced, War Lord at 20's in the Grand Annual (4th in Arkle last year / Wed 16:50) and Bear Ghylls (Thu 2:10) at 25's

I see there's a ton of money for Gaelic Warrior in the Supreme instead of the Ballymore which would indicate the ground is going to be soft or the stick side of good to soft/soft in places the year of the worst Arkle ever when Duc des Gienevres won

I thought last year was a bit mad with the whole no rain then watering then the deluge that came but this year the ground is going to be crucial with the recent weather. It could be easier in ruling out alot of horses but still tricky to find winners.

The Supreme is intriguing this year, I can't have Facile Vega, Marine Nationale would be a credible winner but don't know if that one is ground dependent. Will have to keep an eye on the Gaelic Warrior price, about 6-1 3rd fav at the moment behind the other two.

Tekao probably wins the next on the bridle. Mctigue is in there as an agreement with Emmett Mullins and JP McManus to keep the weights down. Hard to back a Boodles horse at 11/4 though

Was also on that. Only a free fiver from Paddy Power but I got it last night at 10/1, think the starting price was down to 13/2, not gonna complain about £50!
