Good call on Saquon. I guess playing well after seemingly years of sub par play has its merits but coming back from a bad injury to near their best should win it.

Can see someone like Reddick getting SB MVP if the Eagles defence stifle Mahomes and Kelce in particular. Can also see Mahomes hopping around on one leg by the end 😮

Looking forward to the draft this year, been scouting and watching mocks more than ever before. Will talk more about what we do with the #1 pick when it gets closer but also interesting to see where Bijan Robinson goes. Best RB prospect since Saquon himself.

Mahomes has probably just normalised greatness at this point, but part of me felt he was the last man standing as the other candidates fell away one-by-one (which is probably reflected in Jefferson being nominated - I agree that he shoud be in the mix, but we all know it's a QB award). But yeah, just checked out Mahomes' numbers and he did indeed have an outstanding season (guess I didn't watch much of the Chiefs this year), thoroughly deserved MVP, though it could've been interesting if Hurts had played every game.

Obviously glad that Daboll picked up CotY but feel he benefitted from an excellent start and therefore 'grabbing the narrative' early - people were crowning him by about week 6. Carroll probably caught up with him in the end, with a Seahawks team that was meant to come nowhere, along with the Giants. And obviously Pederson would've deserved it too, again with a better second half of the season. But I actually would've given it to Shanahan - think I declared the 49ers' season dead on these very pages when Lance went down, so to continue to thrive even after Garoppolo also went down... that's no coincidence, that's all down to coaching.

As for Comeback Player, god knows what the rules are there. Gave up on that when Rivers won it in 2013, basically just cos he was crap in 2012 and then reverted to average the next year. In my mind though, Saquon would've had to be coming back from his injuries (whereas he played most of last season) - I'm fine with Geno getting it, as it's his 'comeback' as a starting QB, having not been the guy since 2014 with the Jets.

Speaking of the Jets, can't knock their GM for that draft, coming away with Offensive and Defensive RotY.

Hope it's a great game for anyone else staying up watching. I'm going for the Eagles by 10, 30-20.

It was one of the classics, so much happened. I've learnt 2 things; a) don't bet against Mahomes and b) don't make any more predictions! 😀

Panthers receive:

2023 1st pick

Bears receive:

2023 9th pick
2023 61st pick
2024 first round pick
2025 2nd round pick
DJ Moore

Panthers, less than 24 hours later, realise they have been fleeced and are now trying to trade out of the #1 pick

Absolute madness

Woah! That is some trade and a good haul 👏
Stunning work by the Bears office with DJ Moore included.

I missed this but had seen a couple of things recently hinting we would be willing to trade further down than #4 with either the Texans or Colts as most thought.

Jalen Carter's red flag off the field and better value past Will Anderson Jr. i.e. Lukas Van Ness I've heard we need to beat the Packers to especially after his combine. Trading with the Panthers is all good.

Wonder what the Panthers will do now? Not (respectfully) that I care 😀

Well Aaron Rodgers is finally a New York Jet. Even though I would have liked to have seen us maybe win this season against the Packers, I'm also glad to see the back of him.

Who'll be staying up tomorrow night? It's almost here! 😀

If they get two good seasons out of him the Jets got a steel on the trade.

I would be looking forward to the Draft but because there is nothing else on, the NFL media have absolutely ruined it. They are bigging it up to be way bigger than it is. Just from article numbers alone it must dwarf the Superbowl. "Here's more on a half thrown pass by the 4th QB likely taken in the draft that we have likened to the Kyler Murray pass to DeAndre Hopkins".

Yeah I fear I'm too 'into it' now and have been completely bombarded with draft coverage. Have stayed up in the past few years cos the Giants usually have an early pick, but not this year so I don't think so! I'll just see how it's going when the baby wakes me up at about 03:00

We aint picking until Friday unless we can trade a 3rd and 5th into a 2nd. All for a forever backup QB 🤦

It is overexposed the coverage, still it will be interesting to see who goes where. Only got to wait over 4 months until the season starts proper 😫

We pick at 9 and have had an unbelievable pre draft/free agency. I'd be happy with OT Peter Skoronski, Tyree Wilson if he falls or Lukas Van Ness for a dominant Edge rusher or Bijan Robinson. We've had decent RB's over the years but not really a top 5 say in the league. Not keen on Jalen Carter but he is a standout on the inside of the D-Line, Van Ness can play on the inside too.

Just caught up with all the goings on - seeing Texans picking at #2 and #3 required some investigation :D

Surprised the Giants took a CB in the first round. By all accounts it sounds like Deonte Banks could be a great corner, but one of the things I kept hearing is that this draft is full of them, so maybe they could've got one tomorrow? That said, seemingly every mock I saw had them taking WR Zay Flowers, but he went to the Ravens at #22, so maybe they just made a move to get a guy they really wanted after that.

Speaking of the Ravens, that's a nice new toy for the newly re-signed Lamar to play with alongside OBJ!

They still need that big WR to compliment those 2. Or maybe they go the Chiefs route and use Andrews as the big WR a la Kelce.

I remember a time Eagles fans wanted Howie Roseman out  In 2 picks they are better than last year
