I was leading a fantasy matchup by 65pts. The other guy had Josh Allen and Tyler Bass plus one other to go . . . yep, the 49pts Dallas Cowboys defence. I am fucked unless there's torrential rain in New York/Allen gets hurt (which I'd rather not happen)

My 'perfect team' would still be in with a shout. I dropped Kittle (groin injury) for Okonkwo who scored 0 (-1.9), Falcons conceded 10 and the Steelers conceded 30 but got more points (-2). Achane and Kendry Miller got injured, so start Aaron Jones and Swift. Yep, all 0.3 pts of Swift. Best was Warren on the bench for -1.5. Geno Smith got killed by his O-Line, thought Purdy would need a game (-9.2). Diontae Johnson got injured with Zay Jones on the bench (-6.7). The other guy has to score over 6.6 to win. That extra 21.3 point would have made it a win I think if its wet. Then again, Allen just gonna run it if he can't throw

That Falcons / Steelers thing is bullshit though. Steeler concede 30 and no interceptions. Falcons conceded 10 and 2 interceptions. Falcons 11pts, Steelers 13pts. Yes they had more sacks but still. Interceptions > sacks

It'll be interesting to see the week 2 over/under reactions again this year.

We are using FleaFlicker for a dynasty league, just checked the scoring. It doesn't matter how points the defensive concedes. It just means you can't get the 10pt bonus for a shut out.

1 point for every Solo Tackle None
2 points for every Interception ALL
2 points for every Sack ALL
2 points for every Fumble Forced ALL
1 point for every Fumble Recovered D/ST
4 points for every Safety ALL
6 points for every Defensive TD ALL
2 extra points for every Defensive TD between 40 and 79 yards (inclusive) ALL
4 extra points for every Defensive TD of 80 or more yards ALL
2 points for every Conversion Return ALL
10 extra points when total Points Allowed is exactly 0 D/ST

Dunno about that one Kev, celebrating a probably career ending injury seems a bit off. The NFL has to close the MetLife until they sort that turf, the list of Achilles, ACL's, MCL's from the state of the sod in past few seasons is beyond the joke now

You're right Derm, I do actually take it back. I can't help but dislike Rodgers as a player being a Bears fan and also what I've seen of him as a person. He's the only player I would have reacted like that to but that still doesn't justify it.

Extremely bad luck that it's happened and it's season ending/possibly career ending given Rodgers age. I didn't know about the state of the Met Life and the history of injuries, the players need better protecting with the state of the field, serious injuries should be as avoidable as possible.

I also don't know stats on these types of injuries and I guess I'm blindly defending my team's field, but I don't see anyone complaining about the real turf in Baltimore that JK Dobbins got the exact same injury on this weekend.

There's been quite a few there the past few years. Maybe it's their profile or something or like yourself one affected one of my teams players, Bosa :D,. Then theres Shepherd, Solomon Thomas, Kyle Fuller in past 2-3 years. I think Quinen Williams or Mikha Becton for Jets too.

+38 yr old QBs break down pretty quickly all the same (Favre and Peyton were crocks past 35)

Chiefs @ Jags and 9ers @ lively looking Rams interesting games next week. Two Monday night games . . . .

Lasted til HT of the 49ers-Giants game, expected to abort as early as I did for Cowboys but the first quarter was pedestrian enough to not put me off - neither team really getting anything going.

Then the second quarter was a bit more worrying once the 49ers realised they could do absolutely anything they want, especially on the ground.

So I was surprised to see that the score didn't really get out of hand. I'm assuming the Giants were never in with a realistic shot, but did the defense improve or did your 9ers take their foot off the gas?

Wink Martindale had Shanahan's number I think. The Giants offense not keeping the defence off the field eventually wore them down. You guys have been sold a kipper in Darren Waller.

Trent Williams likely to get suspended for decking Robinson even if there was a sneaky jab in there first. The officiating was terrible for both sides, kind of ruined the game.

What an awful start to the season @Kevin. Honestly thought Bears were going to be a solid 7-10 to 9-8 team. The way things are going Carson Wentz could be quarterbacking them by week 6 or 7. Or maybe they hope Scott Tyler is Brock Purdy 2.0.

Yep, gone even worse than could have possibly imagined. I thought it was getting real bad obviously under Nagy and Pace but Eberflustered and Poles are making even them look competent! Throw in an obsession with seemingly being determined to hire just the worst coordinators and you have the current mess. Luke Getsy I just don't know what he is on and the defence despite having some promising players has been abysmal. Just like Mitchell Trubisky was ruined, Fields who is a better player probably is going the same way.

It's okay though, we're playing the Denver Broncos this evening who are also 0-3 and shipped a near record 70 points last week...

...oh wait, I tell you what, let's lose to them as well! We'll make it interesting by going out to a big lead just so we can equal a franchise record of biggest lead surrendered 😢😢😢

Let me start again; It's okay though, we're going to draft Caleb Williams and Marvin Harrison Jr. come next April 🙄

If they get the #1 they'd be best trade out for as many picks as possible for O-Line and CB

Realistically if we end up at #1 again then I don't doubt they'd trade it again. I'm hoping though that the 2nd worst team even with Bryce Young are the Panthers rather than the Pats or anyone else. Then we'd have 1&2 and the opportunity to pair a Caleb Williams with a WR like Harrison Jr. would be generational and hard to turn down.

Watched the Chiefs v Jets in the early hours and the Jets were unlucky! Zach Wilson showed in parts that he does have undoubted ability.

I felt so sorry for him on that fumble.

I know games aren't "scripted" but you'd have to wonder are they rigged when only the Jets got called for holding

Back-to-back Sundays without a Giants loss, gotta take the positives! Going to bed shortly and getting up for the Seahawks game, bit more hopeful than I was for the 49ers game, but not much.

Was up around midnight dealing with the baby, so by the time my 01:10 alarm went off I'd only just gone back to sleep, glad I decided to swerve getting up for the game :D

Starting to think the Giants might be crap. Think I said previously that looking at the start of the schedule we could be 1-7 or something (though that included Rodgers' Jets), so there's not much expectation but they're just so poor, thought they'd turned that corner (or were in the process of turning it).

Danny Dimes could get a €160m contract and benched within 8 games.

EDIT: even though he is being absolutely killed behind that Oline. Maybe they should get Wink Martindale to be DC and OLine coordinator

The Giants and the Vikings were two teams from last season 'getting lucky'. It was always the worry that the luck would run out. The offence is so inept without Barkley.
