Managerial rulebook

1. Squad size
Minimal squad size for a team is 15, while the maximum limit is 29. A team must have at least one goalkeeper.
If a team doesn't have 15 eligible players on match day (due to suspension or injury), the match is forfeit and recorded as a 3-0 win for the opposing team.

2. Match orders
Each manager can set the following: formation, lineup (including 5 substitutes) and set piece takers (pen, FK, corner). Match orders for each match day have to be finalised on Sunday, 8 AM CET. A form for each available lineup is available below.

3. Substitutions
Since the games are simulated, the CPU will make the substitutions for you, and will choose from the available players on the bench. According to tests, there will be 1 substitution per team in ~85% of all matches, with 0 substitutions per team in ~10% of matches and 2 substitutions per team in ~5% of matches.

4. Suspensions and injuries
A player is suspended for the next match day if he was either red-carded in the previous match, or has collected 2 yellow cards. A player, who collected an injury in a match is ruled out for the next 3 match days. A sample size of 1000 games shows that the referees are very lenient, awarding only 0.52 cards per game (0.35 yellow, 0.17 red), while injuries are even rarer (0.02 per game).

5. Player positions
Outfield players can be played in 9 different rated positions. That means their OVR rating is different in each and changes depending on their hidden attributes. Each player has a default position, which is typically one of the best positions they can be played in. This is especially true for lower-rated players.

Scoring Rulebook

1. League Table

Regular football rules apply - a win nets the team 3 points, while a draw earns 1 point.

Teams are ranked on the following criteria:
1. League points
2. Goal difference
3. Goals scored
4. Head-to-head matches

2. Top scorer

For the Top scorer ranking, all goals scored in league games apply. The number of goals, scored from penalties, is depicted in brackets.

3. Assist leader

An assist is counted for every player who directly passes the ball to the goalscorer. On own goals and goals scored directly from set pieces, no assist is awarded.

4. Best defence

With every goal that a team concedes, it recieves 1 point. Each clean sheet earns a team -1 point. The team with the lowest score is the winner of this ranking.

5. Fair play

For every yellow card, a team recieves 1 point. For a sending-off through a second booking, it recieves 2 points. For a direct red card, it recieves 3 points. The team with the lowest score is the winner of this ranking.

6. UMLBet

Each manager has the chance to predict the results of the next match day. A correct score prediction earns the manager 3 points. Guessing the right outcome, but not the correct score, earns you 1 point.
