Help needed with CM99/00

Had an issue the last while with my saves corrupting for some reason and trying to get to the bottom of it with no success.
Game plays fine for 4 or 5 seasons I save it,turn it off then turn it on the next day the save loads up then chucks it and lots of TMP files appear in the game folder.
Had happened with another save file but I put that down to the file size being over 200000kb but this was nowhere near that.
Frustrating taking the time to build up a team for this to continually happen. Any techy help would be appreciated!

Could it be anti virus related?
Also happened when running CM3 aswell as 99/00.

could be something to do with the folder permissions on windows, read and write access.
Depends where you have them installed as windows can be picky.
Are you running the game as Administrator?
see if this helps?? if you're using Windows, my Win 10 the season updates were really slow (10mins) Go to Settings >> Windows Security >> Virus threat & protection settings >> Exclusions >> Add or Remove Exclusiions >> Add an exclusion process of cm9900.exe and an exclusion for your cm99/00 folder.

Thanks I'll give that a try mate. Yes running as administrator I've edited data via Tri wasono editor but I've ran for 12 seasons before it became an issue but this recent save was only 6 seasons in.
