Oh yeah, okay. I understand now. 20 million help from the game is to keep big team competitive. Because they spend more money on transfer fees and wages, and over time, they go below 0 easily. Despite that 20 million help, if you play the game long enough (8-10 years or more) you will see that big teams gets relegated to lower division from time to time.Calvin Klein wrote: ↑Sun Nov 27, 2022 9:55 am Championship Manager 97/98…I managed to find out how to do it and also edit teams and make the divisions 24 teams.
Change EDN (in the editor for the B Team) I think it was to ED3.Otherwise, the B Team is a non league team.Well that's the league I started off in (ED3).I suppose you could put the B team in any league so long as you don't go past the 24 teams in a division.
The computer controls the B Team, but you can bung your dud players in there.
Sometimes the B Team bungs out some players on a free transfer, so you have to keep an eye on that.
Also, it's not a£20 Million rule I just notice the bigger teams get given a £20 million boost at the start of the season.
B teams are not allowed to be in the same league as the main team if they are connected as someone just mentioned. If you are in La Liga, your B team can compete in Segunda division, but even if they finish 1st place, the other 3 teams will get promoted. And yes, once they start making money, they will start buying (often shit) players. So you can buy young players with good potential to gain experience or older players as a backup (in case your players get injured after the transfer season is closed). So you can move players up and down between B and main team. I think it is a great advantage to play with B teams. Also it is like a fun side quest to make them better teams.
