The 2004/05 season has been for some time a gaping void in the CM0102 world, with no known database covering this season. For the past few months I have been working on backdating the 2005 update so that we can finally play one of the classic seasons. The great Milan team in all their glory, the Liverpool team that beat them in Istanbul, the first glimpses of Lionel Messi on the big stage, the Chelsea squad that finally won the title for the first time in 50 years, the last throes of Real Madrid's 'Galactico' era, a hugely competitive Bundesliga and Ligue 1, and of course the Dutch teams full of highly-rated youngsters.

Dowload here

Once downloaded, simply extract the contents of the archive into your CM0102 Data folder (before launching, ensure the exe is set to Run as Administrator, and compatibility set to Win XP SP2).

There is also a patched version available which you can download here. See below for some of the changes.

This is a Work In Progress. At present the following has fully been updated:
English Premier Division
English First Division
Dutch Premier Division
French First Division
German First Division
Italian Serie A
Portuguese Premier Division
Scottish Premier Division
Spanish First Division
Spanish Second Division
All clubs involved in the Champions League Group Phases.

The patched version is a rar file containing a 2004 folder and a 2004.exe. Simply extract the contents of the rar into your main CM0102 directory and use the 2004.exe to launch the game.
Start year of 2004
Restreucturing of French and Italian leagues
Many other minor restructures
Golden goal removal
Greek and Australian bug fixes
Many subs and restrictions updated
Coloured attributes
Fixed the Black.Blue5 colour clash
Inflation x1.5
Game speed x2
Removal of International B teams
Non-binding U21 caps
Unlock Your Creativity
...and so on.
---
It should be safe to use other patches you choose, but as always, back up before applying anything, and use patches at your own risk.

Huge thanks deservedly go to everyone that has been involved in patching the game, particularly Yuri Kitashin Jr., Tapani, Zozoa, JohnLocke, Saturn, Archibalduk, MadScientist and Nick & Co, without whose tools this game would be long gone.
*This database is founded upon the Helvete Sept 2005 Update, of which the skeleton remains but the bugs have been cleansed. That update itself was heavily 'ripped' from FM06 as far as I can tell (there are obvious errors in both!). I have subsequently used the FM05 database as a key point of reference, plus countless very useful websites, the most important of which are listed below in no particular order:

Guys, there is an update available.

BIIIIIG thanks to Dermotron who helped with cleaning up the bugs in the database. This was an immense help as now I can safely validate and safely use CMUpdater and Transfer tool. Derm deserves a medal :) No more moaning about common names issues from me, hopefully.

What's new? To strat with, I have removed around 15,000 players who had either/or/and: no first name, no last name, no date and/or year of birth, no CA, no PA, no 20 in any position. So there is a whole bunch of dross culled from the database. Re-added all common names for South Korean players too. I have started to add players from small nations so the international scene will be improved, although this is a big task so will take a long time. Otherwise, just a lot of cleaning up things I spot as I play games, so deletion of defunct stadiums, typos, improvement of colours, better preferred formations of managers, serious Cavenaghi downgrade (!), etc etc etc.

In the opening post in this thread is the link to download the database. I have also added a link for a patched version, with a few details on some of the things that have been patched.

Also, huge thanks deservedly go to everyone that has been involved in patching the game, particularly Yuri Kitashin Jr., Tapani, Zozoa, JohnLocke, Saturn, Archibalduk, MadScientist and Nick & Co, without whose tools this game would be long gone.

Enjoy and feed back :)

Am I the only one who experiences quite a lot crashes? With nov.20 It sometimes crashes during a game but this crashes a lot randomly.
Btw. It is a amazing db.
I miss some complete attributes for Podolski. He is too random. But once again, amazing!

The user who posted the db has a deleted account, but maybe somebody else managed to download it. I had it once, but I experienced some errors so I deleted it :( But you can try the Helvete's 2005 db, it's still on the forum :)
