I have a similar issue after applying Nicks patch and have reinstalled cleanly 5-6 times. The Portuguese league had no history for the players, another time the 2nd years fixtures were blank so had no games to play, just now the transfer amount or prev season wasnt being logged to the player history, and tried it one last time and it crashed when I click on Fixtures at the start of the 1st season

@legend: I can't replicate this and not heard about anyone else having this issue - you must be doing something different to everyone else? Are there any extra patches you are applying? Or any data mods you are using? If you can zip up your cm0102.exe and your Data directory and upload them somewhere I can take a look and get to the bottom of it.

@hodgsopa: Similarly, never heard of the issues you are describing. If you too can zip up your cm0102.exe and your Data directory (and any relevant save games) and upload them somewhere I can take a look

@Rodry: Most likely not - the patch relies on the data being just right (which LastPosition rarely is - as it's an easily uncared about attribute) - if it's not you could end up with too few (or too many) teams being entered into the competition which will cause a crash.

To do it properly would be a tricky one (to code up in Assembly anyways). Will have a think if there's a neat way of doing it.

This usually happens when you use the wrong ( probably unpatched ) exe with your save game. If it wrong , some leagues stopped because of some patches applied related with these leagues or match fixtures or league team quantities.
You have to always use the patched exe which you created your save game.
Another reason may be that you did not use the database which you patched together your cm exe . Patchers patches bot exe and dtabase at same time.

Hi Nick, could you block that player pot ability goes to below 1 and club rep ( original issue also with 3.9.68 clean exe ) goes to below 1 and upper 10000? When I checked database with cmscout.exe , the problems are visible.

Hi Nick.

Previously, when a player played for a team for a certain period of time, he received second citizenship, but now it does not. For example, 3 years in Spain, 6 years in Turkey.

I'm not sure if I installed the wrong patch that prevents this but I wanted to ask.

Thank you for your contribution to the game, great job.

Not sure if there was ever a patch to address any of this stuff - will take a look in the exe and see if I can spot where this gets calc'd

@xeno: "When I checked database with cmscout.exe , the problems are visible" - this sounds familiar - but can't remember how to replicate it (and I seem to remember this was a problem with cmscout rather than the data itself - but could be wrong). Could you let me know how I can replicate the issue? Thanks :)

The player names have updated fine, as I saved the October Update to my data file, but the patcher doesn't seem to be working for me.

I have never been able to open or play the game with with CM01/02 exe. I have always used CM01/02_GDI. I have played the game for the last five years using the GDI exe and also using previous Nick patchers without issue.

I have tried for hours trying to save and open the patcher in various locations on my laptop

If anyone can help I would appreciate it.
Nick's Patcher doesn't apply to the GDI file. You need to find a way to use the normal exe file. What happens when you try to use it?
I have managed to resolve the issue I had with the normal cm01/02 exe file. Once I fixed that the patcher worked a treat. Thank you and every else that helped me with this. Much appreciated.

You can see these issues in save games mostly after 4-5 seasons.

-----To replicate player ability may go to 0 or under 0 >>>
*Firstly, open the save game which is played several seasons in CMScout , you sort and check the abilities of players and you will see some numbers like 65535, 65534, etc. Select one of these players.
*Open the save game in GK save game editor and find the selected player , you will see that current ability is 0 which shall not be less than 1.

-----To replicate club rep may go to 0 or under 0 >>>
*Firstly, open the save game which is played several seasons in CMScout , you sort and check the club reps and you will see some numbers like 65502, 65499, etc. Select one of these clubs.
*Open the save game in GK save game editor and find the selected club , you will see that club rep is 0 which shall not be less than 1.

-----To replicate club rep may go to upper 10000 >>>
*Firstly, open the save game which is played several seasons in CMScout , you sort and check the club reps and you will see some club reps are more than 10000 like 10013, 10020, 10040. etc. These clubs are mostly not so much successfull clubs in save game. Select one of these clubs.
*Open the save game in GK save game editor and find the selected club , you will see that club rep is 10000 which shall not be more than 10000.

Actually, GK save game editor does not show minus values , just shows it as 0 instead of minus value.

Hi Nick. I found the problem. When I selected world cup--> 2023 in your patch, Italian Leaugue mixed with Belgium League. If I don't select this option, it seems normal.

@legend: I just tried that myself (i.e. patched to 2022 and then applied the "Move World Cup to 2022.patch" from Misc Patches) and I could not replicate your issue (i.e. when I selected Italy only Italian teams showed up for me to select a team). So still not sure what issue you are having - or why only you are having it.

Hi Nick+Co,
When I patched my own patched exe( which was not patched by your patcher) just for game speed, my cm exe does not work and just closes now. Does it change anything else rather than game speed ?

@xeno: it should only change what you selected to have changed - so if you only selected speed that should be all that changed. If you can send it and your Data directory to me and let me know at what point it is crashing for you I can tell you what happened.

Actually , yes , it should just change what is selected. But , there is an issue and it modifies my exe differently for game speed patching which is not working. Other selected patches works ok.

Btw, do you have any finding or suggestion about below issue?

@xeno: Thanks - the issue you are having is because it was patched with Tapani and Tapani does the speed hack in a very slightly way. The next version of the patcher will account for this and patch it correctly even if Tapani was applied first. But other changes are made too because not selecting a checkbox is like selecting a checkbox but in reverse - so some patches are "unapplied" which is reverting some code back to its original state. Not sure if this causes issue or not - but not ideal for Tapani patched exes - will take a look into that when I have more time.

For now just apply this patch:

Thanks for solution.
I did not untick anything which patcher shows as tlcked. Just tried to change game speed.
When patcher reverts some code back to its original state if I dont untick an option, this causes the problem as you said.

Discovered by Saturn, this will MILDY increase the number of "pregens" added when you start a new game.
Pregens are completely made up players, normally very young, that are available on free transfers, etc in the regions you have selected leagues in.

From Nick+Co's patcher , misc patches >>>

IncreasePregensMultiplierTo1.30.patch (a litte bit more)
or
IncreasePregensMultiplierTo1.50.txt (more and more)
or
IncreasePregensMultiplierTo1.90.patch (more and more and more)
