Making languages available on ODB and Luessenhoff

Post by HaroldFinch »

Does anyone know if there is a way of making languages other than English available on ODB and Luessenhoff after patching the game to 3.9.68?

Just looking to fix some bits on the Starter Kit, and I noticed recently that when you change the language in the game settings with either of those databases loaded, it doesn't do anything. Copying the language file (language.ldb) from 3.9.68 seems to change everything correctly, but upon starting a new game, I get a "V3.9.68 database..cpp 7784" error.

Is there a foolproof and error-free way to fix the languages on 3.9.60 (and Luessenhoff)?

Cheers

If Lussenhoff didn't change much in terms of club names AND changing language doesn't change the database/editor language you could try this:

export Lussenhoff DB with CMUpdater
install the game with the correct language
re-import the Lussenhoff DB

There'll be a few changes needed e.g. copy the player_setup.cfg from A to B, club names matched.

Cheers mate. I've actually just done some digging and saw that there is already a patch that Nick put together that hides the error message from the screen. So applying that patch in combination with copying across the language file from the 3.9.68 database to 3.9.60 and Luessenhoff, and I now have the translations working on all databases :)
