Although, if you are just someone that "plays" the game by just going on "holiday mode" most of the time (which is the vast majority of people that "play" this game so take no offense), then don't bother.

I am playing 5th season on latest database (probably October 2022), also using Nick's patcher. Yesterday I left a computer switched on for a few hours, then back, saved the game. Today I loaded the game, it seems my save is damaged. When I am trying to check some competitions, some of them are quasi-disabled. Seeing only "First Division A", please see printscreen below. When I click on them - game crash. Also going forward, playing one game, then crash. I suppose the bug is connected wth the competitions name. Can you please check the files and help me? Maybe someone had similar situation?

Hard crash at any time , the game closes without any error on the screen: The game may crash at any time without any error and without any reason. The cause is unknown.
Solution: Change the compatibility mode of the cm0102.exe (right click on the cm0102.exe file and click on the Compatibility tab and select one of the options). This seems to occur a lot for Windows 10 users: setting the compatibility mode to Windows XP (Service Pack 3) seems to fix the issue, but different compatibility modes work for others.

Using starter kit for months with no problem now suddenly crashes in July on third season.. No reason for it, dont know why this is happening, can anyone help?

@swfc82: It's crashing in the French CFA league - it's trying to loop through teams but seems to run out or something similar. To turn stop that particular part of the crash:

@wxbx: No idea how that could happen - but that is properly corrupt - no idea how to fix that. How you've ended up with a 400mb save with only Poland selected and only in the year 2026 I have no idea....

@swfc82@ You save it to a text file call fix.patch or similar and then use my patcher (Tools -> Apply Patchfile) to apply it. Or, as this is a simple one you could just use a hex editor, go to 1B9361 in cm0102.exe and change the 04 to a 03.

I was playing second season in Poland, wanted to give more money to some polish clubs in the lower leagues. I changed it using CM Explorer, some reasonable amounts to switch from bankrupt to OK status. Made it for 20-30 clubs. Unfortunately, game crashing when loading save.

Do you think there is any chance I can repair it in any save editors? I had 37yo Messi in Legia

I've installed the SI patch, October update, and Nick's patch - and crashes straight after FA Cup 3rd Round weekend, Won't go past 7th Jan.

Have tried all kinds, fresh reinstall of everything and been through all compatibility options and it still won't work. No error - just goes off.

Any help appreciated.

Hi,
would anybody be willing to check my save file for reasons my game crashes? I also don't know how to upload it.
I'm in June of 4th season and crashes/closes down on 14th june.
Using some patches but can't remember which (used the CM0102patcher) as I only get to play during breaks in the school year (no not including strikes lol) so memory is a bit sketchy each time i back at it.

ive yet to play a game that didnt freeze at one point and it happends fairly early and its very frustrating bc i love the updates. any help much appreciated

@agilbert: You've got some weird corruption there in your Euro 2024 - I tried turning the euros off or shifting it back, etc - but then another crash appears. Not an easy fix - weird it's happening so early for you. I'd say start from scratch (including re-installing) - and don't bother doing things like adding South Korea for China etc if you are only going to play in the English leagues. Do the minimal amount of patching you require and stick with that.

I have a problem.
I have donwloaded the latedt update.
It works well. Inplayed severel seasons in different leagues.

Currently we are palying in the Italian laegue.

We are in october 2003.
The game is saved.

After the Fifa announcement, if we click on the continue the game crashes.

Can you please help us?
We palyed more years in more leaugea without a problem

please note that we are playing this gime online (network game) and also we have the latest update of the game 2022 Oct.

as i said before it stops after the fifa announcements in 2003 October, but we have played more games more leagues but this never happened.

I keep getting the issue of the game crashing when moving from 21st to 22nd JUly 2001. I changed compatability to Service Pack 3 as advised elsewhere in the forum and starting the game from scratch I now get the same whe moving from 23rd to 24th.Help urgently required........
