Can someone clever help me at all please. I've managed to download load the game etc. Started playing it,everything was fine. Saved fine. When I try and load a save a message comes up saying there's a problem 'cm0101.exe has stopped working'. I can start new games but not load saves.thank you. Also I am awful with anything computer related.

Try saving the game to a different path on your PC - any joy?

Hi all,
I'm deep into a save with Cardiff City, and have made it to the end of the 08/09 season. The game started "Updating Game Data" for the new season as it always does. I'm running the game on a not-very-high-end laptop, so it usually takes around 20 to 30 minutes to load, which is fine - I usually go off and do something else, and by the time I'm finished, the game's all sorted. I did all that this time, and came back to it eager to start the 09/10 season, only to find that it hadn't finished, and in fact took a couple of hours, way longer than I'm used to. Then when I thought it had finished and clicked "Continue game" it started another long loading bar, which may be related to my weekly autosave, but it wasn't the end of the week yet so I doubt it. So I went off to do something else again, but before doing so accidentally shut the laptop screen, causing a game crash and forcing me to close the game via task manager. No biggie, I thought, I'll try again. Then the game outright refused to finish the loading bar and black screened when it was about halfway done, twice, leaving me stuck at the end of 08/09
I'm on Windows 10, using the original .60 database, and have the game running as admin.
Any advice on how to get it working again? I've poured my heart and soul into this save and really don't want to lose it.

Solution may be:

Setting 'Run as Admin' and compatibility mode for cm0102.exe : Go to your CM0102 directory ( Usually located (unless you specified otherwise during the installation of the game) in 'This PC > Local Disk (C:) > Program Files (x86) > Championship Manager 01-02 ). Right-click on 'cm0102.exe' and tick 'Run as Admin' and compatibility mode as Windows XP (Service Pack 3) . If you change the name of your exe, you need to do these same settings again.
Most computers will run the game in Windows XP (Service Pack 3) as compatibility mode , but if you face any issue with WinXP SP3 compatibility mode, you can try other compatibility modes such as 'Windows 98 / ME' . If you forget this, the game may not load or may show error later during the game.
- Windows 10/11 users: suggested to set the compatibility mode as Windows XP (Service Pack 3) .
- Windows Vista/7/8 users: suggested to set the compatibility mode as Windows 98 / ME .
- Windows XP users: suggested to set the compatibility mode as Windows 98 / ME .

I'm already running it in compatibility mode, unfortunately. I could try and change the compatibility I'm running it in and see if that works?

Good morning,
I have a problem with a saved game of Championship Manager version 3.9.68 with the original database.

When I make the session change on June 17 in the 2019/2020 season it does not generate me the matches of the following season of the Spanish league. As a test I have continued the game and it only allows you to play the Cup. The following season (2021/2022) generates the league matches but the whole season is played in 2 weeks or so. In fact there is a day when you play hundreds of matches, several days at a time.

I suspect it is because there are games of the promotion playoff of lower divisions (Segunda division B) of the 2019/2020 season that is dated for after June 17.

Is there any way to edit the game to change those dates?

I have been looking at the saved game editors but none of them allow you to change match dates.

Sorry, no solution. Spanish league normally should finish before game summer update. Did you use any patch?

Normally , there should not be any problem like yours.
I want to ask this : The saved game which you are playing is created with 3.9.68 exe or you created this saved game with 3.9.60 exe and then you used 3.9.68 exe to continue playing?

first install the game, then install patch 3.9.68 and then start the game.
