Former Al Ahly youth striker Richard Basha completed a two-year deal move to Swiss outfit Lugano from Italian club Udinese. his twin Salah is sticking with Udinese. Both Egyptian / Italian nationality.

Basel busy today bringing in loans from Portugal. Tomas Tavares joins on a years loan from Benfica and Joelson Fernandes joins on a 2 year loan from Sporting with an option to buy. Hate to say it as I love a dynamic winger but the fact Joelson has been let go like this by Sporting might suggest he's a tad overrated in game...?

Also Basel have loaned Dan Ndoye from Nice who play in France, not Portugal. Basel have option to buy.

FC Basel have undertaken the options on the loan deals of Andy Pelmard and Dan Ndoye, to sign the pair permanently from Nice. Pelmard pens a deal until 2025 and Ndoye until 2026.

Young Boys loan Kevin Varga from Kasimpasa until EOS.

Former manager of Volos, Guillermo Abascal, is current manager of Basel. Marco Walker (from free) is his assistant. Reto Baumgartner is the current chairman. Yannic Hess (from Hoffenheim) is a scout.
