This thread is for you to help enhance our database for the next Data Update. We are looking for confirmed information on:

- Club Managerial Changes (including staff and board members), manager reputations
- National Team Managerial Changes
- Club Information – e.g. a club has gone bankrupt, merged, club reputations
- Player Information – e.g. preferred/disliked staff, overrated / underrated players
- Player Injuries – (3+ months out)
- Retirements – Both players and staff (including International Retirement)
- Incorrect information in the database – EG club colours, stadium, player positions/details such as DOB incorrect
- Potential young talents

- we DO NOT require player transfer news

Once your feedback has been reviewed and input to the database, a member of the Update Team will mark the post “Done”.

Scotland’s longest serving football manager Jim McInally resigns as Peterhead boss. McInally’s assistant David Nicholls will take charge of the team until a new appointment is made.

(Also add chairman Rodger Morrison)

Michael Beale is the new manager of Rangers, signing a 3.5 year deal. Coaches Neil Banfield, Harry Watling and Damian Matthew will all join Michael at Rangers. It hasn’t actually been confirmed yet which backroom staff were let go at the same time as van Bronckhorst, probably easiest to replace the Dutch ones with these guys pending some news.

According to Jordan Campbell at The Athletic,

Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s full coaching staff are to leave Rangers after his sacking last week.

Roy Makaay, Dave Vos, Ceri Bowley, Arno Philips & analyst Yori Bosschaart all out.

Beale is bringing Damian Matthew, Neil Banfield & Harry Watling from QPR.

Rangers have made a further addition to the first-team support staff with Jack Ade joining from Liverpool as Head of Performance. That’s apparently a fancy term for fitness coach. I presume with that surname Jack is big on energy drinks.

Like Chancellor Palpatine, somehow Lawwell has returned. Peter Lawwell is the new Celtic Chairman. Will Celtic fans return to the car park with fences held high? Will any of them question him on the laughable separate entity legal defence? Nah they are all too busy watching Rangers TV.

Livingston have appointed former Scotland defender Christophe Berra as their new first team coach.

The appointment comes as Neil Hastings replaces Marvin Bartley as assistant manager of the Lions following the Englishman’s departure to Queen of the South.

Interim confirmed: Led by Barry Robson, the coaching team will comprise Steve Agnew, a highly experienced coach who worked with Barry at Middlesbrough FC, and Development Phase coach, Scott Anderson.

Motherwell have parted company with manager Steven Hammell.
His assistant Brian Kerr will also leave the club.
Stuart Kettlewell has agreed to take interim charge of the first-team until a permanent appointment has been made.

Partick Thistle FC have this evening relieved Ian McCall, Alan Archibald and Neil Scally, of their duties in relation to the first team with immediate effect.
Under 18 coach Kris Doolan will take on the role of First Team Manager on an interim basis, and will be assisted in this regard by Academy Director Paul McDonald.
